This much-anticipated, yearly event scheduled for 10:00-11:30am on Sunday, November 19, 2023, marks the official start to the holiday season in Downtown York, as the downtown streets are transformed, creating a festive environment for shoppers, visitors, and residents alike.
Volunteers will meet in historical Continental Square at 10:00am to begin the event, before dividing up into groups to decorate the downtown area, defined by Market Street from Pershing to Duke Streets, George Street from Continental Square to North Street, Cherry Lane, and Philadelphia Street between George and Beaver Streets.
Thank you to Chas. A. Schaefer Flower Shop, Inc., for donating the red bows that will hang from the 100+ lampposts in historic Downtown York, and the employee family of Wagman Construction in coordination with Warehaus for the cutting and staging of the greens.
Downtown Inc offers a special thank you to Royal Square Development & Construction for providing ladders, the City of York’s Parks Department for its assistance in hanging greens on hard-to-reach poles along bridges within the downtown, and a host of other volunteers.
