Downtown Inc recognizes a different Downtown York-based business each month that has contributed to the economic development in Downtown York by making our community a better place to live, work, and play.

Recognizing Outstanding Efforts

We are proud to recognize these outstanding businesses in Downtown York and we look forward to continuing to make great things happen with them! January 2024: Au naturale luxe

Au Nturale Luxe is located at 290 W. Market St. in the WeCo District of Downtown York. Owner, Pierra Anjanee, is a Licensed Esthetician & Body Sculptor. Pierra provides services like body contouring, skincare, facials, waxing, and body care. Au Naturale Luxe was recently awarded a grant from the BLOOM Business Empowerment Center, which contributed to renovations to the spa, update the branding, add a spa station, and new services. 

February 2024: Kyle martin event venue

March 2024: Sniffany’s of York 

Recently celebrating the grooming of her 8,000th client, Sniffany’s (23 E. King St.) owner, Sabrina Thomas has over 22 years of experience with all breeds and is AKC S.A.F.E certified and part of the National Dog Groomers Association of America. Sabrina chose Downtown York as the home of her business in 2019 because she loves the city and wanted a central location for her clients. 

April 2024: The breakfast store

The Breakfast Store, located inside Penn Market at 380 W. Market St., is a dream destination for breakfast lovers! Being named Downtown Inc’s Merchant of the Month is quite the honor, and it’s well-deserved with their menu offerings. From classic breakfast sandwiches to inventive creations like smash burgers with donuts or cinnamon rolls as buns, they definitely know how to push the boundaries of traditional breakfast fare. And those potato hash breakfast bowls sound like the perfect hearty start to the day. With such a diverse and delicious menu, it’s no wonder they’re gaining recognition.

May 2024: house of flowers

Whether you’re looking for unique house plants, fresh cut flowers, thoughtful gifts, or plant merchandise, House of Flowers has got it all, and their expertise in plants is unmatched! We are also thrilled to share that House of Flowers is a proud recipient of the York County Economic Alliance BLOOM grant and is recognized as a York County Trail Towns Trail Friendly Business. June 2024: The Handsome Cab

The Handsome Cab (106 N. George St.) stands out for its incredible events that bring hundreds of visitors to #HistoricallyEdgy Downtown York, including the Champagne Stroll, Downtown York’s Amazing Race, themed wine tastings, live music, and so much more. The Handsome Cab’s second-floor Cab Gallery is also home to Just Brenda Art Studio and The Cab 5, featuring special events during First Fridays.
