National Farmers Market Week (August 2–8, 2026) is a nationwide celebration recognizing the important role farmers markets play in supporting local agriculture, small businesses, and healthy communities. Downtown York is proud to be home to two historic public markets that have served generations of York Countians, along with additional neighborhood markets that continue to expand access to fresh food and locally made products throughout the city.
Penn Market

Established in 1866, Penn Market is York’s oldest and longest-running farmers market. Located at the corner of West Market and Penn Streets, the market has welcomed shoppers for more than 160 years. Today, visitors will find a diverse mix of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, prepared foods, specialty items, and locally owned vendors.
Penn Market offers convenient on-site parking, making it easy to stop in and support the small businesses that call the market home.
Central Market House
34 W. Philadelphia St., York, PA 17401
Standing at the corner of North Beaver and Philadelphia Streets for more than 125 years, Central Market House remains one of Downtown York’s most treasured landmarks. The market is home to an incredible collection of local farmers, specialty food vendors, bakers, florists, artisans, and small businesses.
Parking is available in the City-owned Philadelphia Street Garage, located directly across from White Rose Bar & Grill. Visitors can conveniently pay using the ParkMobile app.
Second Sunday on King
If you’re looking for an outdoor market experience, be sure to visit Second Sunday on King in the Royal Square District.

York Fresh Food Farms Mobile Produce Market
York Fresh Food Farms is helping make fresh, healthy food accessible throughout York City with its nonprofit Mobile Produce Market.
The market brings affordable, locally grown produce directly into neighborhoods across the city, with regular stops throughout the growing season and a reduced winter schedule. Produce is harvested from York Fresh Food Farms’ more than four-acre urban farm, and prices are intentionally kept affordable so everyone has access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
York Fresh Food Farms is committed to improving food access, especially for families living in food deserts and neighborhoods experiencing food insecurity.
