Getting things done in Downtown York, PA is often about collaboration. Through a cooperative partnership between Better York, KBG Injury Law, The York Water Company, Kinsley Construction, Inc, and Downtown Inc, and through the coordination of work by the City of York, the crosswalks in Downtown York will be completely updated. With the crosswalks’ updated look, pedestrians will be safer crossing streets, and the beautification of Downtown York will continue.
Director of Downtown Inc, Elaine Bonneau and The York Water Company CEO JT Hand recently met to check out the newly painted crosswalks, to discuss plans to repaint all of the crosswalks in Downtown York. The York Water Company has been committed to improving the community they serve since their founding in 1816, all while providing ‘that good York water’ to residents and businesses at less than a penny per gallon.
Last year alone, the Water Company paved 3.5 miles of York City roadway and replaced 40,000 feet of watermain with US steel pipes, projects funded by the Water Company and completed overnight to ensure restaurants and businesses were never without water during business hours.
