Downtown Inc, in partnership with the Garden Club of York and a whole host of community volunteers, beautified Downtown York on Tuesday, May 11 with seasonal plantings. Totaling 95 planters, the colorful arrangements were carefully selected by the Garden Club of York. With the addition of seasonal plantings throughout the downtown area, spring certainly has sprung in our community.
We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the Garden Club of York,” states Elaine Bonneau, Director of Downtown Inc. “They’re master gardeners and their designs are always inspired and artfully created. It’s become a rite of passage to kick off the warm weather season and creates a beautiful, welcoming environment to the city for visitors and residents alike.”
As part of their beautification efforts, the Garden Club of York also installed 240 coordinating hanging baskets sponsored by local area businesses, organizations, and individuals.
